The Libman Company Donates 2,500 Heavy-Duty Push Brooms to Recent Midwest Flooding Victims
Arcola, Ill. (PRWEB) May 19, 2017 -- The Libman Company, a leading U.S. manufacturer of household and commercial cleaning products, has donated 2,500 of its heavy-duty push brooms to aid those who were affected by heavy rainfall and strong storms in the Midwest that resulted in river overspills and flash floods. Libman donated the brooms through the American Red Cross.
Heavy rain and storms earlier in late April and early May resulted in a sudden rise in rivers in Missouri, Illinois and Arkansas. Floods and flash floods caused significant damage in southern Missouri and the St. Louis area. Now that the floodwaters are receding, it’s safe for homeowners and businesses to return to begin cleanup efforts.
“We are happy to provide some assistance to individuals and businesses affected by the floods,” said Andrew Libman, president of The Libman Company, which is also located in the Midwest in Central Illinois. “We’ve coordinated the distribution through the Red Cross to get the push brooms to those who need them as they face the somber and arduous process of clean-up,” said Libman.
“The Red Cross is extremely grateful for all of the generous contributions we have received to support our lifesaving mission to help those in need," said Red Cross CEO, Gail McGovern.
