“Our recent renovations and ongoing internal initiatives always adhere to Villa’s core mission, which is making people better – both our internal staff and our guests,” - Marchant.
Osseo, MN (PRWEB) May 22, 2017
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded The Villa at Osseo a five-star rating for quality of care. The community is located at 501 2nd St SE, Osseo, MN 55369 and was bought by Villa Healthcare in August 2013.
CMS created this five-star quality rating system to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare various nursing homes more easily. The survey evaluates each facility’s health inspections, staffing/turnover and quality measures, which look at 11 different physical and clinical measures for nursing home residents to determine how well a nursing home is caring for its residents’ physical and clinical needs.
“We’re very excited to receive a five-star rating from CMS,” said Mike Marchant, VPO of Minnesota for Villa Healthcare. “This perfect score is definitely reflective of the talented and caring staff at Osseo that consistently delivers the highest quality of care to our guests.”
The Health Inspections category for the CMS rating contains information from the facility’s last three years of surveys as well as findings gathered from inspectors who conduct an onsite inspection. The Staffing rating considers the turnover rate, number of hours of care provided on average to each resident by nursing staff and the differences in the levels of residents’ care needed in each nursing home.
The Villa at Osseo recently underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation, which included the grand opening of a modern Transitional Care Unit that houses a state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym. The community also plans to unveil additions and renovations to its Long-Term Care Unit this summer.
“Our recent renovations and ongoing internal initiatives always adhere to Villa’s core mission, which is making people better – both our internal staff and our guests,” said Marchant.
The Osseo community also earned a deficiency-free survey from the Minnesota Department of Health along with a Bronze National Quality Award from the American Health Care Association (AHCA). These recognitions illuminate the facility’s continued commitment to performance and quality improvements on multiple levels. The Villa at Osseo has also applied for the Silver National Quality Award, which will be announced this summer.
