VeinViewer Vein Finder to be Exhibited at AACN NTI
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (PRWEB) May 24, 2017 -- Christie® Medical Holdings will be displaying its industry leading lineup of VeinViewer near-infrared, vein finder technology at the 2017 National Teaching Institute and Critical Care Exposition, May 22-25 at the Houston George R. Brown Convention Center.
VeinViewer reduces the time needed for IV insertion, reduces the use of PICCs by up to 30 percent, and improves first stick success rates by up to 100 percent when starting an IV catheter. VeinViewer also aids in determining the point of insertion in venipuncture procedures by locating valves and venous bifurcations. VeinViewer uses near-infrared light to create a real-time digital image of a patient’s veins on their skin.
“VeinViewer is the only device of its kind to have a positive impact on a patient’s experience due to improved peripheral IV insertion,” says George Pinho, president, Christie Medical Holdings. “With ninety percent of hospital patients requiring venipuncture for a blood draw or IV insertion, we’re eager to demonstrate how VeinViewer can improve the quality of care for patients, especially those with difficult venous access.”
Christie Medical Holdings is offering programs for nurses and clinicians to receive Continuing Education Recognition Points (CERPs) at three ExpoEd Sessions: First Stick Success: Technology Makes a Significant Impact; Overcoming Vascular Access Challenges; and Fewer Sticks and Fewer PICCs. ExpoEd sessions will be held in the Christie booth, number 4639.
