Rob Lowe introduces a new "Informed" segment on Podiatry
(PRWEB) May 24, 2017 -- Rob Lowe is a sought after actor, and also serves as the host of the educational series “Informed,” developed for Public Television. “Informed” brings the public important topics from all aspects of life, and a new segment is being developed on podiatry, which is the treatment of the feet and issues surrounding feet and ankles.
Podiatry is essential to people’s overall well-being, and if viewers have feet problems, they may know what it’s like to have pain or discomfort while walking. Visiting a podiatrist may not be something many patients often think of when they have feet problems, so often they wait longer than necessary to go in for a visit.
The segment will discuss the overall importance of foot health, and the times when patients should seek a consultation. Toenail discomfort, awkwardly shaped nails, ingrown toenails, or fungal nails are common problems that can be drastically helped by a podiatrist. Additionally, a podiatrist can help when a patient suffers from any of these symptoms: heel pain, sore toes, pain in the foot pad, bunions, pain when walking, or a wound that does not heal on the foot or ankle.
Join Rob Lowe on the next “Informed” and explore podiatry. Viewers can take a look at what a podiatrist does, why it is a special segment for medical treatment, and the latest treatments for ailments of the feet. “Informed,” along with Rob Lowe want the public to be knowledgeable about relevant topics in the world. It's independently producer for Public Television and PBS Member stations.
