ZONED Surprises 9 NJ Athletes with Scholarships
Bridgewater, NJ (PRWEB) May 26, 2017 -- ZONED Sports Academy Inc., Central New Jersey’s premier training and teaching facility for baseball and softball, has announced the winners of it’s 11th Annual $10,000 Baseball/Softball Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Awards. Scholarships are awarded to athletes in recognition of their athletic accomplishments, educational success and work within their communities. These scholarships are applicable to each recipient’s first year of matriculation.
The 2017 Zoned Scholarship winners are Victor Cruz of Westfield High School, Jared Daszkiewicz of East Brunswick High School, Kira Ferraiolo of Montgomery High School, Rachel Hubertus of Millburn High School, Jeffrey Praml of Bridgewater-Raritan High School, Matt Ryan of Montgomery High School, Jillian Skalski of Cranford High School, Ashley Sosa of Teaneck High School and Brandon Warick of St. Joseph’s High School in Metuchen.
“These scholarships recognize athletes who have succeeded in far more than baseball and softball,” said Duke Baxter of ZONED Sports Academy. “They recognize each of these athletes as well-rounded individuals, whose accomplishments reach well beyond the diamonds they play on. They are true champions in their schools, homes and communities. These scholarships provide a way for us at ZONED to recognize and give back to these young role models, as well as for those who will follow in their footsteps in years to come.”
The ZONED Sports Academy Inc. Baseball/Softball Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Award is an annual scholarship awarded based on a thorough application process. Athletes must be of outstanding character, integrity and in leadership positions on their baseball or softball team, as well as their communities. Academic transcripts and community service work must be provided as part of the application process.
ZONED Sports Academy Inc. provides premium instruction and assistance to all student-athletes to better their skills and opportunities. It looks to expand the student-athlete’s possibilities for achievement and success. ZONED endeavors to assist both genders, initially through baseball and softball; and eventually through a wide spectrum of sports and disciplines.
