The Executive Women’s Forum Announces Its 3rd Annual Black Hat Future Female Leaders Scholarship Program & 7th Annual Black Hat Meet & Greet
Flemington, NJ (PRWEB) June 08, 2017 -- The Executive Women's Forum on Information Security, Risk Management & Privacy (EWF) and Black Hat USA 2017 are pleased to announce the success and continuation of the Future Female Leaders Scholarship Program. This program awards 50 scholarships to attend Black Hat USA 2017. The EWF is also hosting its 7th Annual Meet & Greet with over 200 executive women in Information Security.
Each Academic Pass allows full access to all Black Hat USA 2017 briefings on Wednesday, July 26 & Thursday, July 27, 2017, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The scholarship program supports the EWF’s mission to attract, develop and advance women in the Information Security, IT, Risk Management, and Privacy industries. These Academic Passes will be awarded to female university students who demonstrate a passion for Information Security as well as a proven history of related experience and coursework.
“The EWF is honored to partner with Black Hat for the 7th year to support and develop cybersecurity women with the scholarship program and Meet & Greet,” said Lynn Terwoerds, Executive Director of the EWF. “The cybersecurity labor shortage and the fact that women make up only 11% of the cyber workforce speaks to the significance of what we do as an organization and our partnership with Black Hat.”
In order to be considered for the Future Female Leaders Scholarship Program, each applicant must meet the following criteria: Must be 18 years old at the time of the event, provide copy of verifiable proof of full-time academic status at an accredited college or university, and provide copy of valid and current college/university ID card. Interested students must apply by June 26, 2017. To apply for the 2017 Black Hat USA Female Leaders Student Scholarship and view full terms, visit: http://www.ewf-usa.com/?page=BlackHatScholarship
