Eturi Corp.’s OurPact gained immediate popularity with its first release by enabling parents to remotely manage their children’s mobile device habits through at-a-touch and scheduled blocking of internet and applications. Since then, the product’s enhancements have come in quick succession, each more impressive than the last.

OurPact’s last release announced selective app blocking – allowing parents to leave educational apps available while blocking distracting social media and games, for example – and ‘App Lists,’ which shows parents a list of all installed apps on their children’s devices. It also extended management of iMessage and SMS, a first for the iOS control landscape that attracted parents in droves. The innovative platform’s latest update includes two major enhancements, both requested by the user community:

  • Family Locator: Child device locations can be monitored (without Apple ID) from the OurPact dashboard in real-time, allowing families to coordinate pickups and – most importantly – ensure children’s safety from anywhere, and at any time.
  • Screen Time Allowance: Parents can instill healthy device habits by setting daily screen time limits (eg. an hour a day during the week, two hours a day over the weekend), which children then manage independently through a separate child application.
