Frank Karkota's New Book "The Last Summer" Is the Story of a Man Finding True Love After Giving up Hope of Ever Finding It
(PRWEB) August 11, 2017 -- Frank Karkota, a radio communication specialist, photographer, nature lover, and writer, has completed his new book “The Last Summer”: an emotional tale about a romance writer who was never able to find a true romance of his own until he was running out of time.
According to Karkota, “(I) spent most of (my) life as a radio communications specialist. At twelve years old, (I) got a ham radio license. After college, (I) worked as a broadcast engineer for a Boston radio station. In the army, (I) served two tours in Vietnam as a member of a team that provided long-distance communications between the man in the field and his support, which may have been scores of miles away. Subsequently, (I) started a business that provided consulting services to local radio broadcast stations. Eventually, (my) business made special radios so that thousands of blind people could hear volunteers read local newspapers and other timely written material. For a diversion, (I) hike wilderness trails and takes nature photographs, and in the evenings, (I) write essays and stories.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Frank Karkota’s heart-warming tale focuses on Robert, a lonely man who writes trashy romance novels.
Robert had never married because he had never found the right woman. It was always his dream to have a loving wife and children. However, his dreams seemed doomed when his doctor told him that he would die in six months. Robert was terrified he would die without ever knowing true love. During the last summer of Robert’s life, he would learn that sometimes a love is so deep, so pure, that it is stronger than death.
