“They had a bicycle safety day, the Chief of Police Maxwell ‘Maxie’ Barousse who was in his dress uniform, made such an impression on me. From his dress and speech, from that time on, I always wanted to be a policeman like Chief Barousse. I didn’t know then how close I would come to being just like him.” --Carroll Morgan
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Carroll Morgan’s new book is the story of a small town police officer who went from a parking meter patrol officer to a Police Major then lost it all.
After ascending the ranks of the police force, alcoholism forces him to resign. By the Grace of God and the testimony of Pastors, Terrell and Debbie Reed, he was saved. After he turned his life around, God made him Chief of Police for the small Southern city of Jennings, Louisiana.
