New Jersey country artists showcase raw talent in new power ballad

Country-singing duo, October Rose, is pleased to announce the release of their debut single, “Heartbreak Song.” The song, written by bandmates Leanne Weiss and Derek Allan, is the first to be released off their new EP “All In,” coming in 2018.

“We’re thrilled to that our fans will finally get to hear ‘Heartbreak Song,’ the first song we ever wrote together,” said Weiss. “It was written from the point of view of two people trying to avoid heartbreak in a new relationship.”

October Rose will be celebrating the release of their new single on Friday, September 1, 2017 at Maxwell’s Tavern in Hoboken, NJ. The duo will be opening for The Voice star Adam Wakefield as part of the Maxwell’s Country Concert Series.

“Throughout the summer, we’ve been given numerous opportunities to share our original music with fans along the East Coast,” said Allan. “They will be pleased to know that there’s more to come from October Rose in the near future. Not only will we be performing full band shows in September, we’ve also been selected as NashNext finalists for the New York City market.”

“Heartbreak Song” is now available on iTunes, GooglePlay, and Amazon MP3, as well as the streaming service, Spotify. Produced and mixed by producer Chris Badami, “Heartbreak Song” was recorded at Portrait Recording Studios in Pompton Plains, New Jersey and mastered by engineer Adam Ayan of Gateway Mastering.

About October Rose

When social media connected up-and-coming solo artists Leanne Weiss and Derek Allan, there was instant musical chemistry. After relocating to New Jersey from Pittsburgh, Allan reached out to local singer Weiss about collaborating on writing country music. After a few songwriting sessions, recording a cover video, and playing at a county fair together, the two decided to join forces and form the duo October Rose.

Since their formation in October 2016, October Rose has been a force to be reckoned with on the New York City country music scene. With featured appearances on Ty, Kelly and Chuck’s “10 Minute Tune” and opening slots for Drew Baldridge, Russell Dickerson, and Sara Evans, this duo is gaining momentum. Their extensive list of performance venues include the Mayo Performing Arts Center (NJ), Webster Hall (NYC), and The Bitter End (NYC.) In Summer 2017, the pair was selected as a Nash Next finalist in the New York City market with NashFM 94.7.

October Rose has incorporated their love of 80’s hair metal and classic country into their songwriting. With a modern country sound that is truly unique, this country duo is ready to show off their vocal stylings on their debut EP, “All In,” to be released in early 2018. The first single, “Heartbreak Song” is slated for an August 2017 release.
