Free and secure mobile application makes it easy to find qualified experts

'SnappHelp gets stronger as more and more people register, and I’m happy that we can match users with someone who can meet their needs quickly and easily,' said Roundhill.

Two local entrepreneurs recently launched SnappHelp, a free mobile application that connects consumers with skilled professionals and freelancers when and where they need it. It’s like Uber, but for services. SnappHelp makes it easy to find qualified experts. For example, if a consumer in Palo Alto needs an electrician, they simply enter their request into the app. Their request is automatically delivered to local electricians. Local electricians then respond directly through the app with their availability and pricing. There is no need to call 10 electricians and hope one calls you back.

On the other hand, if you want to market your skills or services as a tutor, IT consultant, photographer, graphics designer or any other service, simply add your skills and services when you sign-up. You will start receiving requests from other users in your area.

SnappHelp is unique because you are not simply shown a list of providers for your needs, but a direct secure connection is made between you and the provider when you make a request and a provider responds. The app makes a secure connection while protecting the privacy of the users. Additionally, users can give and see a star rating for service providers so consumers can identify quality help.

SnappHelp includes hundreds of different types of skill categories and keeps adding more. Service providers can instantly be notified of new opportunities, jobs or projects, and they only need to respond to the requests they want. This free app quietly launched in February and already has more than 100,000 users.

Founder Sony Roundhill first thought of the app when his family was on vacation. He and his wife fell ill and needed someone to drive their car back home, but they didn’t know how to locate the appropriate person. Sony Roundhill partnered with Antony David, IT expert, to create and launch the app. What started out as an idea for connecting odd jobs with providers turned into a mobile application that can help consumers, freelancers, recruiters and job seekers.

“SnappHelp gets stronger as more and more people register, and I’m happy that we can match users with someone who can meet their needs quickly and easily,” said Roundhill.

SnappHelp provides the following benefits:

  • The application is free for all users, without ads or service charges.
  • SnappHelp mirrors real life. Every user can be a consumer or a provider depending on what they need at that moment.
  • There are no middlemen. As soon as a user adds a new skill/service to their SnappHelp account, they are in business. They even get pre-existing service requests for their skills.
  • The search can be local or nationwide.
  • One App for multiple services from painters to editors and everything in between.
  • The App is secure and private. Every user has the ability to delete their requests and messages from other users’ devices to prevent further communication through the app.

The app is Apple and Android friendly. For more information or to download the application, visit the Apple iTunes App store, Google Play Store or
