Imagination Playground Launches New Classroom Curriculum Initiative
(PRWEB) August 31, 2017 -- To celebrate Back to School 2017 Imagination Playground launches its newest initiative - IP Ed, a classroom curriculum pilot program.
For five years schools and child learning centers world-wide have encouraged Imagination Playground to translate the excitement and energy of their blue blocks into classroom teacher’s tools.
Dave Krishock, President & CEO of Imagination Playground discussed this initiative with dozens of schools and several children's museums, deciding that the power of play based learning and Imagination Playground blocks would be a winning combination, and a significant enabler in today's modern classroom.
Krishock partnered with Heather Pinedo-Burns, Ed.D. of Columbia University, their Teachers College, and their on-site lab school, Hollingworth Preschool, to create learning modules for children ages 2-5, utilizing play based learning principles to advance children's understanding in the subject areas of science, literacy, and math.
Krishock states "After two years of concentrated effort we completed development of IP Ed generation one curriculum this August. We are currently launching this program in schools and child learning centers that desire to participate in our pilot study.”
Pinedo-Burns follows by saying "We'd love to place IP Ed in your school - working directly with teachers through 2017-18 so we can fine tune our curriculum program. We would also love to discuss your ideas for using Imagination Playground in your schools and classrooms.”
