Freedom Debt Relief Establishes Charitable Foundation With $1 Million for Community Support
San Mateo, Calif. (PRWEB) September 06, 2017 -- Freedom Debt Relief (FDR), a subsidiary of Freedom Financial Network (FFN) – an innovative financial services company that enables consumers to overcome debt, build wealth and achieve better financial health – has established a charitable contribution fund to help nonprofit organizations in the communities where it operates.
The company established the Freedom Foundation with a $1 million contribution. Initial donations from the foundation – $50,000 to the United Way of Greater Houston and $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity – are directed toward Hurricane Harvey disaster relief, according to Andrew Housser and Brad Stroh, co-CEOs of FFN. The company also is matching employee donations to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy’s Hurricane Harvey Recovery Fund two to one.
“Our business is built on helping those in financial need. That’s why we are committed to helping victims of Hurricane Harvey get back on their feet,” says Stroh. “We appreciate and value the efforts of our employees, and of these incredible organizations that are committed to help victims of Hurricane Harvey.”
The Freedom Foundation will continue to identify and support nonprofit organizations that help people recover from setbacks. “Helping those affected by Hurricane Harvey is a great first step for the Freedom Foundation,” adds Housser. “We take the commitment to impacting our communities seriously, and the Freedom Foundation is one more way we can fulfill that commitment.”
