RentVest Property Management - an expanding company driven to provide the best customer service, went to another level of providing for customers and strangers alike as they provided donations to those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Spencer Caldwell, co-founder of RentVest Property Management, which was named for its consecutive year in the Inc. 5000 last month, felt an insatiable itch one day.

That itch had to do with Houston - after seeing Hurricane Harvey devastate Houston and it’s surrounding areas, he knew he had to do something.

“I couldn’t sleep one night,” Spencer says, “Just thinking about it. I knew I needed to do something for the people in need there.” The Hurricane had left thousands displaced and more in need of the simple resource of water, food, and paper products.

Spencer and his award-winning team at RentVest immediately got to work - Renting a 26-foot long U-Haul Moving Truck, spreading the message over Social Media and garnering the attention of a few residents in the Houston area.

“We got in contact with a Coach Herring from the small town of Refugio, Texas,” Spencer recounted. “We found out what their immediate needs were in that community and gathered those things in one week - filling the truck to brim with donations.”

Spencer and his team drove from Mesa, Arizona, to the town of Refugio, Texas, in 18 hours to deliver a very special care package and love from one community to another.

“It was remarkable to see so many come together, and care about others who they didn’t even know,” says Davin, an employee at RentVest. “And it was even more special to come to Refugio and see how grateful Coach and his football team were, and to talk with them and share in their struggle.”

One member of the Refugio football team even had his roof collapse over him while he was sleeping one night. “Coach Herring left us assured that these donations will get into the hands of those who most need it,” Caldwell shared. “We drove away that day with our hearts left in Refugio, and feeling blessed to be a part of such a great community and workplace.”

Spencer and Jacob Ash co-founded RentVest Property Management. Together with their COO, Benton Cotter, they have expanded their vision from Arizona into several new markets, such as Texas, Georgia, and Nevada, delivering customer-centric service and a modern property management layout fit for an ever-changing real estate market. To celebrate their second year being named in the prestigious INC. 500, they wanted to give back.
