Predictive Workload Analytics Hub, Unify-connect™ Set to Be Released by Terma Software
Boulder, CO (PRWEB) September 20, 2017 -- Increased interest in predictive analytics in general and workload analytics specifically has resulted in companies requiring advanced capabilities and integration with other IT operations functions that Terma Software will now provide in the short term. The company announced today that its latest product offering, UNIFY-CONNECT™, designed to address customers’ advanced needs, is scheduled to be released in the 4th quarter of this year.
“Companies have long struggled with the reality of implementing workload applications that don’t share valuable data. UNIFY-CONNECT is being developed to address that urgent need,” notes Shane Hade, CEO of Terma. “The very best way to design and release a new product is to understand what customers want. We have been fortunate to work with the best and brightest workload professionals who make up our customer base and they asked for UNIFY-CONNECT.”
So how does UNIFY-CONNECT address those problems? Jim Anderson, V.P. Corporate Strategy at Terma explains, “The workload data that is so critical to a company is found in a myriad of applications that are oftentimes legacy systems. They are frequently applications that the companies do not want to replace because they are good, solid systems that do the job they are designed to do. What they unfortunately are not so good at is sharing that information in order to be a valuable player in the new ecosystem of predictive analytics. The primary goal of UNIFY-CONNECT is to provide a solution to address current challenges that exist with incident management and impact determination along with accurate prediction for estimated completion of batch feeds. Further, it has to be extensible to a company’s future needs.”
Anderson continued, “Early this year we developed and introduced the first universal API into our predictive analytics platform which was the first step in making UNIFY-CONNECT possible. Now we will provide our users with UNIFY-CONNECT which is a kind of ‘workload data hub’ that integrates with their existing schedulers and other IT operation tools to allow users to optionally subscribe to various workload data as it changes in order to obtain definition and status data, predict end times for jobs, jobstreams, and feeds, and then publish that data to a designated consumer, for example an event management system. You can think of it as a Publish/Subscribe hub for workload data management and predictive analytics.”
Hade comments, “We know that visualization is important. The complexity of workload data requires an interface that is instantly understandable by those tasked with analyzing the impact of critical workload anomalies. So we are including Gantt and tree imagery to UNIFY-CONNECT to make complex data easier to access and use. Our newly-released API in concert with UNIFY-Connect will enable a customer to access and use the data that enables predictive analysis capabilities -- no matter their underlying workload technology. I couldn’t be more pleased with the efforts of our development team in answering the demands of the marketplace.”
