New Sci-Fi Novel Pits One Man Against Post-War Galaxy of Ideology Gone Mad
BOSTON. (PRWEB) October 16, 2017 -- The captivating Bourne film series positions one man against an entire government while he attempts to discover who he really is and his role in a larger conspiracy. Nathaniel Szymokwicz has given his character a similar mission, only this time, his mystery man takes on an entire galaxy while hunting down his truth in “The Shroud of Peace.”
“The Shroud of Peace” opens on a galaxy struggling to recover from a deadly and destructive war between the human United Interstellar Alliance and the now-defunct Sanhaeli Empire. In 2585, a grab for power is made by the private security corporation known as Blackout, who hope to extend their control over the war-torn galaxy.
One man suddenly finds himself in the middle of this interstellar conflict when he wakes up in a hospital with no memory of who he is or why Blackout is attempting to hunt him down. He soon stumbles upon a life-threatening conspiracy that endangers the entire population. Determined to stop another war, he must race against time to save himself and the galaxy that he can’t remember.
“The Shroud of Peace is similar to taking the Bourne series and setting it in space,” Szymkowicz said. “There is just as much of a conflict of identity and loyalty as there is as conflict between two individuals. It makes for a very layered and intriguing plot. It helps show how one individual can be caught up and consumed by a fight that extends far beyond them.”
