Lust and licentiousness inside U.S. intelligence agencies.

Long-time U.S. intelligence analyst Trevor Laene's new tell-all book probably has some U.S. intelligence officials trembling.

The seemingly principled intelligence professionals are among the most sexually prolific, self-confident, and risk-taking folk around, their work-driven lifestyles and super-sized egos requiring outlets only carnality can satisfy.

A new book is revealing the naughty activities occurring in U.S. spy agencies that some U.S. government officials – particularly those in the intelligence agencies – probably wish would remain hidden. Laene’s book Sex, Secrets, Hard Lessons: Inside Washington, our Nation’s Spy Agencies, and the Orient offers a rare view inside areas few Americans are permitted to go - our nation’s spy agencies - and discusses the prevalence of lewd and debauched behavior there among employees.

Laene spent over a decade inside the secret Defense Intelligence Agency working with analysts across the intelligence field, to include CIA analysts both at home and abroad.

Beyond revealing the lascivious behavior that occurs inside these clandestine environs, Laene also delves into the libidinous misadventures of some of the nation’s well known – and not so well known - defense and government officials, chronicling details of their scandalous activities. And as he shows, it’s not just the men initiating these lewd pursuits.

The book takes one on a passion-soaked journey not only through our nation’s capital and spy agencies, but into the recent war zones in Iraq and Afghanistan. Laene served in both zones and explains how and why deployed intelligence analysts have abundant unchaste engagements with each other in these hostile environments.

Laene currently lives in Southeast Asia, and no book on misadventures would be complete without him describing his forays into the unbridled love-lorn passions of the regions and their untimely consequences.

As Laene describes it, after 31 years in the intelligence and security field he moved to Southeast Asia to immerse himself in its culture and mystique. He provides insights into Asian women, the culture, dating and romance. He particularly focuses on the intellectual and cultural dichotomy of attitudes between the West and East, and provides the Western reader an understanding of Eastern sexual mores and practices as viewed from a completely different cultural mindset.
