Including Kids Moves The Official Grand Opening Celebration to Early November In Wake of Hurricane Harvey
HUMBLE, Texas (PRWEB) October 20, 2017 -- As the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey begins to recede, Including Kids, a non-profit organization that works with children and young adults with autism, announces the official grand opening celebration of their new 2.5-acre campus on Saturday, November 11th. Open to the public; the free, family-fun event will be at 18401 Timber Forest Drive in Humble.
The family-friendly event begins at 3 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m and includes multiple bounce houses, cotton candy, popcorn, and FREE food from Marco’s Pizza, Big City Wings, and Chick-fil-A. Families are encouraged to tour the new campus among with the long-awaited playground, equipped with two slides, rock-climbing walls and six free-standing structures.
The design of their new, state-of-the-art campus features a Community Skills Room, used for generalizing medical visits and haircuts, a Community Outreach Suite designed for community training and an outdoor Food Forest created to teach students how to grow fruits and vegetables as well as a walking trail and soccer field.
“We made it and we love it,” says Jennifer Dantzler, Executive Director. “Every day I walk around our gorgeous new facility in awe when I watch our kids use our new gaming center, work on tolerating a haircut in our community skills room, or smile from ear to ear as they watch our playground being built. Every day is some new discovery and it makes all the hard work worth it!”
Including Kids’ reach surpasses the city limits of Humble and has served over 650 families throughout the Greater Houston Area. The organization’s uniqueness lies in the fact that they offer services and programs for the whole family, not just the child or young adult with autism.
