Joining SBR Coaching for their four-week training program, for the upcoming Renegade Race Series Laguna Niguel Triathlon on January 28, is the perfect way to start your 2018 triathlon race season.
“What I provide is personalized one-on-one coaching in a small group setting,” says SBR Coaching owner, Coach Pam Nichol. “Whether you are a beginner or a high-level athlete, I can help you meet your individual triathlon race goals.”
SBR Coaching’s training for the Laguna Niguel Triathlon begins on January 6 for four weeks in Orange County. The training will be centered at the Racquet Club of Irvine, Laguna Niguel on the race course, and on the extensive cycling and running trails throughout Newport Beach, Irvine and Tustin.
To join the SBR Coaching training for the Laguna Niguel Triathlon, you must have the following skills:
- Basic water-safe and swimming skills.
- Riding and bike handling skills, and able to ride for 30 minutes.
- Can walk/run for 15 minutes.
Equipment needed for the four-week training include good quality running shoes, an operational bike, helmet, swimsuit, and googles.
If you are looking for a more personalized training experience, Coach Pam also offers one-on-one coaching sessions that will help you achieve your peak triathlon racing performance.

Owner Pam Nichol has 12 years of experience as a USAT Level 1 Triathlon Coach, receiving her certification in 2005 at the University of Texas in Austin. She continued her education in 2006 at the USAT USA Triathlon, “Art & Science of Triathlon” in Colorado Springs. She is also an ACSM certified Personal Trainer, Masters Swim Coach and Boot camp Instructor.
Nichol has coached hundreds of adults and children in both group and individual settings in the three disciplines — swim, bike and run. She also conducts group and open water swim lessons at various lake and ocean venues in Orange County. Nichol has completed over 80 triathlons in the last 20 years, including one Ironman and three Half-Ironman finishes. She is also an Olympic distance National qualifier.
