GigeNET Emphasizes Performance and Environmental Responsibility with Server Line-up
CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 09, 2017 -- GigeNET, an innovator in resilient managed cloud and dedicated hosting, announced the release of the Intel Xeon-D 1541 CPU. These high-density servers use less power and run cooler, while outperforming a large variety of E3 and some E5 chipsets. The lowered consumption translates to a very reliable engine for your cloud and dedicated workloads at a lowered cost.
The Intel Xeon D family was designed specifically to provide high-performance in a low-power "system-on-a-chip" (SOC) framework. These servers can efficiently process hyperscale workloads in cloud and dedicated hosting environments making them equally capable for reseller hosting and cloud deployments. In fact, it was the high density capability for shared hosting and business use that first attracted GigeNET to the chipset in the first place.
“The Xeon-D is where performance and environmental responsibility intersect. It is the most robust computational platform that I have seen for the entry level and mid-market server range, and has a small carbon footprint. The Xeon-D showcases what we can accomplish when we build tech that puts people, performance, and the environment first,” said Joe De Paola, EVP of Products at GigeNET.
GigeNET’s Xeon-Ds start with 64GB of DDR4 and can quickly scale to 128 GB. Rounding out the configuration, every Xeon-D comes with a 960GB Enterprise SSD with room for more.
