Underwriter Appointed for Coverys Syndicate 1975

Bryceland brings over 25 years of experience, specializing in underwriting global professional liability insurance and reinsurance.
Syndicate 1975 will be a source of London-based insurance and reinsurance capacity. Placed through brokers, for physicians, hospitals, and other providers of healthcare, Syndicate 1975 will provide protection coupled with risk management and mitigation solutions to improve margins and increase patient safety.

Bryceland most recently served as Senior Underwriter at Chubb Syndicate 2488, underwriting all classes of professional liability insurance and reinsurance, ranging from medical to legal liability. He established his career at various blue chip London market insurance and reinsurance companies.
Coverys received “in principle” approval earlier this year to form Syndicate 1975 and is working with Lloyd’s and third party managing agency, R&Q Managing Agency, Ltd., to prepare to launch. Coverys is under contract to purchase R&Q Managing Agency, Ltd., subject to regulatory approval, and Syndicate 1975 is expected to begin underwriting business on January 1, 2018, subject to completion of the final approval phase of the Lloyd’s application process.
