Golf Academy of America Graduate to Appear on Golf Channel

Golf Academy of America today announced that a graduate from its San Diego campus will appear on the Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on Nov. 11, 2017 at 9:40 a.m. SPC Ethan Heim, U.S. Army, is the 2017 VGA Men’s National Champion.

Golf Academy of America announced today that SPC Ethan Heim, U.S. Army, a graduate from Golf Academy of America in San Diego, will appear on the Golf Channel’s Morning Drive on November 11 for a special Veterans Day live segment. Heim, the men’s champion from the Veteran Golfers Association 2017 National Championship, will appear alongside 2016 VGA Combat Wounded Champion CPT Adam Napier, U.S. Army, Infantry Officer & Purple Heart Recipient.

Heim joined the Army Reserves at the age of 17. He attended military police school and deployed to Afghanistan twice. Upon finishing his military service, Heim decided to transform golf from a passion to a career, and he enrolled in Golf Academy of America in San Diego.

In the third annual VGA National Championship, held in Biloxi, Mississippi, Heim competed against nine other players in his flight. All of the players had previously qualified for the championship through regional tournaments.

During Heim and Napier’s appearance on Morning Drive, they will discuss their experiences at the VGA National Championship and demonstrate their swing.

The segment will air on the Golf Channel at 9:40 a.m. EST.
