Global Family Enterprise Membership Association Recognizes Partner in Chicago-Based High Net Worth Family Consulting Firm
CHICAGO (PRWEB) November 14, 2017 -- Dr. Jamie Weiner of Inheriting Wisdom, a Chicago-based consulting firm to high net worth families, was honored as a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) at the 2017 FFI Global Conference, October 25-29 in Chicago, Illinois.
“I am honored to be part of such an elite group of practitioners for high net worth families,” says Dr. Weiner. “FFI is a truly global organization committed to sustaining families across generations.
“With the world increasingly becoming boundary-less for high net worth families, FFI’s global perspective serves families and advisors, comparing best practices and sharing insights from families across cultures. Our work is not simply with North American families but those across the world.”
Dr. Weiner completed an advanced program of study at FFI, capping a decade of contribution to and participation at the Institute. He currently chairs the editorial board of FFI’s digital publication, The FFI Practitioner (https://ffipractitioner.org/) and was instrumental in moving the publication online. The FFI Practitioner publishes the latest thinking, research, and trends in the field of family enterprise.
“Through obtaining Fellow status,” said Judy Green, President of the Family Firm Institute, “Dr. Weiner has gained a deeper understanding of the needs of family-owned enterprises and the many roles family business and non-family members play.”
Along with his wife, Dr. Carolyn Friend, Dr. Weiner founded Inheriting Wisdom (http://inheritingwisdom.com), more than fifteen years ago, working behind the scenes with some of the world’s wealthiest families. As Wealth Whisperers™, Drs. Friend and Weiner seek to create high performance families through finding more meaningful ways to engage each generation in what’s really happening behind the money. In 2010, the two published "The Legacy Conversation: The Missing Gem in Wealth Planning", which helps families bridge the gap between the technical aspects of planning, and the human aspects, that ultimately creates meaning for families.
The Family Firm Institute (http://www.ffi.org), an international professional membership organization of over 1800 individuals and organizations across 88 countries, provides interdisciplinary education and networking opportunities for family business and family wealth advisors, consultants, educators and researchers.
