Eggar Insurance Services Hometown Heroes Commit to Becoming Agents of Change in the Community
MCKINNEY, Texas (PRWEB) November 22, 2017 -- Eggar Insurance Services of McKinney, TX has announced the initiation of a master charity program in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The hometown heroes will choose a new beneficiary every several months, working closely with nonprofit organizations and local leaders to seek out those who most need help in the community. Their hope is to bring awareness to important local causes by forming campaigns which aid worthwhile organizations, families and individuals, thereby strengthening the community at large.
Eggar Insurance has elected to support Heart House, a local nonprofit which provides an after-school safe haven for refugee and underprivileged students to debut the new community involvement program. Their innovative 3H program offers homework assistance and character-building tools in addition to mentoring and counseling. Since 2000, more than 1,400 children speaking 15 languages have been served by and over 8,300 meals are currently served every school year.
“Let’s help Heart House move students from a mindset of chaos to an oasis of calm by investing in their Head, Heart and Hands during this holiday season,” said Justin Eggar, owner of Eggar Insurance Services. “Your gift will provide much needed academic and counseling services to some of DFW’s vulnerable children.”
Although Eggar Insurance’s formal Community Program is just getting off the ground, the agency’s caring team has demonstrated a commitment to help the people of their area all along. For instance, they recently partnered with other agencies to participate in the 5K event for the North Texas Chapter of The Cure Starts Now Foundation and were honored to present a check for a whopping $18,000 to help further the organization’s efforts.
But that’s not all. Every Eggar Insurance staff member has become trained in CPR just so they may be of assistance in a time of need. And it has already paid off. Upon hearing the impact of a car crash from inside an office earlier this month, Kate Dzierzanowski, the agency’s Client Retention Specialist, instructed a bystander to call 911 before springing into action. After two men removed the victim from the car and discovered he wasn’t breathing, Kate administered CPR – and saved a life.
“We’ve been working hard to help local folks for some time,” explained Eggar. “By joining the ‘Agents of Change’ movement, we hope to extend our reach and be instrumental in activating greater support for the beneficiaries of our new Community Program.”
The donations page for each featured campaign will feature a story outlining the details of the cause. Eggar Insurance also produces a monthly publication, Our Hometown magazine, which will use a full page to shine a spotlight each selected beneficiary.
