FrontDoor Communities Honored with Nine Wins at 2017 OBIE Awards
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) November 28, 2017 -- FrontDoor Communities is excited to end 2017 with nine OBIE wins. The leading Southeast home builder was honored with six gold and two silver awards, in addition to being named a Community of the Year for its Traditions community in Cumming, Georgia.
The Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s 37th annual OBIE Awards, presented by the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council, was held at the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center on November 11, 2017. The OBIE Awards are the premier awards in the Atlanta residential real estate market and new home construction industry.

As an added bonus, FrontDoor Communities also took home a Community of the Year award for Traditions in Cumming. Designed to meet the combination of needs that benefit families and empty-nesters alike, the No. 1 consideration for Traditions was to create a plan that provided connectivity throughout the neighborhoods with plenty of sidewalks, pocket parks nestled within key areas of the community – fostering “neighbor” connectivity – and a clubhouse and pool that complement the natural lake views to further the overall beauty that is Traditions. Future plans for tennis courts will add to community activity. Residents enjoy soccer and family picnics at the play park, socializing with neighbors at the outdoor fireplace and direct access to miles of biking, walking and jogging trails along the Big Creek Greenway and Fowler Park.
The streetscapes throughout are a well-balanced blend of front-entry, alley-loaded, Craftsman-style and farmhouse-style architecture. Home designs encourage social interaction with neighbors and complement the charming streetscapes. Traditions was developed with “new traditions” in mind to create a community where families blend the concept of old and new seamlessly. This mixed-use community of townhomes and single-family homes offers a live-work-play lifestyle in a peaceful setting that effortlessly blends urban and suburban life. Residents enjoy an array of community amenities that include HOA-maintained lawns, community parks with seating and fire pit, dog park, greenspace, entrance park and upcoming resort-style pool. Residents also enjoy Inwood’s walkability to downtown Woodstock’s shopping, dining and entertaining options, as well as miles of walking, hiking and biking trails on the Green Prints Alliance trail system.
