The General Richard B. Myers Veterans Program at Medisend College received a pair of commemorative cleats designed specifically to honor US Veterans at the Bank of America title sponsor game at AT&T Stadium. The presentation took place prior to kick off of the Dallas Cowboys game on Thursday, Nov 30th.
Bank of America SVP and Market Executive of Business Banking, Rick Bridwell, and Jerry Jones Jr, Dallas Cowboys Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, presented the cleats to General Myers and US Air Force veteran, Sarah Fredrickson, and US Navy Veteran, Louis Washington. Both veterans are graduates of the General Myers Veterans Program at Medisend College of Biomedical Engineering Technology.
“Veterans are such a critical and important fabric of our country with so much to offer following their military careers. Providing opportunities to advance veterans’ civilian career aspirations through partnerships with organizations like Medisend College and the General Myers Veterans Program is a way we make their financial lives better after they have so bravely served our country,” said Bridwell.
The General Myers Veterans Program at Medisend College is a 2017 recipient of a Bank of America grant in support of its mission to help veterans transition from the military to the civilian workplace in well-paying careers as professional biomedical equipment technicians.
“We thank Bank of America and the Dallas Cowboys for their ongoing support of our nation’s veterans,” said General Myers, 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, current President of Kansas State University, and Chairman of the Medisend College Board of Trustees. “The cleats will have a place of honor so all who visit Medisend College can enjoy them.”
