Onset Simplifies Weather Data Monitoring, Management, and Reporting with Latest Release of HOBOlink® Software
BOURNE, Mass. (PRWEB) December 14, 2017 -- Onset, a world leader in data loggers and weather stations, today announced the newest release of HOBOlink, the company’s web-enabled software platform designed for HOBO RX3000 Remote Monitoring Systems. Now featuring integration with Google Maps and Weather Underground, as well as a responsive design, the new HOBOlink version simplifies the monitoring, management, and reporting of weather data.
HOBOlink works with Onset’s research-grade HOBO RX3000 Weather Stations to provide research scientists, meteorologists, and others with instant access to site-specific environmental data anywhere, anytime. Delivered as a cloud service, it allows users to easily access current and historical data via their web browsers or mobile devices, set alarm notifications and relay activations, and control HOBO RX3000 web-based data logging systems. The new version builds on the existing functionality with three new features:
- Seamless integration with Weather Underground (WU), the popular commercial weather service, means HOBOlink users can easily and automatically push weather data to WU through a simple interface. Users simply match up their sensors with the corresponding WU measurements, and the data gets pushed at regular intervals.
- New Google Maps integration empowers HOBOlink users to quickly see all of their geographically distributed HOBO devices and drill down on the details. By hovering over the device icons, users can see readings from the last connection, alarm status, and more.
- A new responsive design automatically adjusts the view of HOBOlink on the screen to let users take advantage of all the features from their mobile phones and tablets.
“For more than a quarter century, Onset has been at the forefront in delivering environmental monitoring solutions that meet the highest levels of accuracy, reliability, and performance,” said Jessica Frackelton, senior manager of product marketing for Onset. “The latest release of HOBOlink for our HOBO RX3000 Remote Monitoring Systems builds on that commitment by providing users with a new level of ease in accessing and sharing weather data, as well as managing the systems logging this critical information.”
Pricing and availability
The newest release of the HOBOLink platform is available today, and monthly data plans range from free to $300 per year, depending on users’ requirements. Additionally, an API (application programming interface) is available to organizations that want to integrate energy and environmental data from HOBOlink with custom software applications.
