USHEALTH Group, Inc. Makes Its Largest Toys for Tots Donation in Company History
FORT WORTH, Texas (PRWEB) December 19, 2017 -- December 1st, 2017 began as another sunny and seasonably cool day in north Texas. Just a few hours later though, a somewhat inexplicable feeling of warmth would surely be created by the selflessness of one company’s employees, through their annual efforts to support the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign.
USHEALTH Group, Inc. is an insurance holding company that has called Fort Worth, Texas home since 1982. For the past 5 years, USHEALTH employees have made Toys for Tots an annual voluntary social responsibility program that coincides with the company’s annual employee luncheon. This year though, USHEALTH employees went above and beyond all previous efforts, donating a total of 975 toys for distribution to hundreds of deserving north Texas children during this Christmas season.
“This is by far, our largest Toys for Tots donation,” said USHEALTH’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Bill Shelton. “Of course, we’re certainly proud of last year's donation of 600 new, unwrapped toys to the Toys for Tots campaign. But, with the mountain of toys collected this year…well, to say the least, we are blessed to have such a caring and compassionate group of people working for our great company.”
The toys were presented to Lance Corporal Pak and Corporal Smith of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves during the company’s annual employee appreciation and holiday luncheon. Shortly after the presentation ceremony, USHEALTH Group’s President and CEO Troy McQuagge addressed the nearly 400 attendees, saying that “Building a better company starts with building better people. Our people are the fundamental difference between USHEALTH Group and any other company in America. Their caring and compassion is consistent throughout the year and is especially evident during the holiday season. Our people make our company…better.”
About The U.S. Marine Corps Reserves Toys for Tots Program
The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.
