The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua Unveils Larger-Than-Life Gingerbread Pineapple House
KAPALUA, Hawaii (PRWEB) December 20, 2017 -- The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua and its talented, award-winning pastry team led by Executive Pastry Chef Yoshikazu Kizu unveiled a larger-than-life pineapple house made of gingerbread cookies and festive holiday candies. From a large scale pineapple house to gingerbread surfboard and candy-colored sleigh, the aroma of gingerbread fills the entire lobby and creates the ultimate backdrop for any family photo. The inspiration for this incredible holiday creation was Kapalua’s unique history as a pineapple plantation as well as the pineapple’s symbolism of hospitality.
Carefully handcrafted over the last week using over 900 gingerbread bricks and over 750 pounds of sugar, here is how the Pineapple House breaks down by the numbers:

• 50 pounds of Snow Sugar

Today through January 4, 2018 from 2pm to 4pm daily, the sweet treats that helped create this impressive display will be available for purchase so guests may take home a tangible piece of this edible masterpiece.
