(PRWEB) December 27, 2017 -- The Shamanic Soul Sedona Retreat, co-facilitated by Shamanic healer and soul guide Anahata Ananda and Brazilian sound healer and musician Porangui Carvalho McGrew, will take place April 5-8, 2018 in Sedona, Arizona and is now open for registrations. “This is our fourth year offering the retreat and each time it sells out,” said Anahata Ananda, founder of Shamangelic Healing. “With the increasing challenges of modern-day life, more and more people are seeking out the ancient wisdom teachings of our ancestors who held a deep reverence for spirit and connection to community through nature, sound and ceremony.”
The Shamanic Soul Retreat features a highly interactive weekend of introspection, exploration, personal transformation and healing among the breathtaking views of Sedona’s majestic Red Rocks and energy healing vortexes. Participants will be immersed in Shamanic wisdom teachings while experiencing a nature wisdom walk, sacred land journey, medicine wheel ceremony and Shamanic breathwork ceremony led by Anahata.
The retreat also offers the opportunity for personal release and rejuvenation through sound and vibrational healing. Drumming, vocal toning, chanting, singing and dancing have been used for centuries to enhance one’s connection to spirit, release energy through vibration and achieve meditative or alternate states of consciousness. Porangui will lead participants through sound healing and trance dance journeys, and a despacho fire ceremony.
The schedule includes an “open-day” on April 8th to allow for those who wish to book private healing sessions with Anahata or Porangui (additional fees apply), or to have down time for further integration, or explore the healing energy of Sedona’s vortexes on their own. Optional healing sessions are also available the day before the retreat begins.
“This is an intensive experience and guests often need a ‘free-day’ towards the end just to integrate and soak up everything they’ve been exposed to,” said Anahata. The interactive workshops and sacred ceremonies allow attendees to express themselves freely in an uninhibited environment, while opening to healing on a deep energetic level. Participants also depart with practical tools they use in their daily lives. This intimate retreat has limited space so those interested should register soon.
Anahata has trained extensively with gifted shamans, energy healers and spiritual teachers from around the world to artfully integrate the fields of spirituality, energy healing, self-empowerment and shamanic teachings. Reared among the cultures of Brazil, Mexico and the U.S., Porangui has been steeped in various traditional forms of music, healing and ceremony since birth. Drawing from his cross-cultural background and ethnomusicology training at Duke University, he has over 15 years of experience utilizing the healing properties of sound and movement to foster individual and collective well-being.
