Vida Chic, A Local Wedding & Events Company, Announces #RePurposeTheLove Campaign For Those In Need
HONOLULU (PRWEB) December 28, 2017 -- Vida Chic, a local wedding and events company, is launching its #RePurposeTheLove campaign to give back to the community. After a wedding is done, there are often leftover food and flowers, and dresses that will never be used again. Vida Chic’s new campaign takes these items that people don’t want or are willing to part with, and distributes them to nonprofit organizations, homeless shelters and nursing homes.
“So much love, good energy and happiness goes into choosing the flowers and tasting the food for this special day – but once it’s all over – it’s just a memory on our Instagram. With the #RePurposeTheLove campaign, we take items that would usually be discarded right after an event and give them to people that could use a little extra love,” says Chavah Grant, owner of Vida Chic.
Bridesmaid dresses are given to local shelters that house teenage girls, so they have dresses to choose for their prom or dance events. Flowers are rearranged and taken to nursing homes like Nu’uanu Hale Nursing Home. Leftover catered food are given away to the homeless in Chinatown. Vida Chic partners with NICU Helping Hands for its Angel Gown program, where wedding dresses are sent to be made into ensembles for babies that pass on too soon.
