This position is being created at Good Sounds because the Orange County company has seen significant growth in the past year due to new relationships the company has developed with residential builders. To be considered for the position at Good Sounds, an applicant must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience in the custom residential AV industry. He or she must possess a strong familiarity not only with installation, but also AV design, and should be able to read and understand system drawings and schematics. The ability to troubleshoot equipment, connections, and systems is also important for this position. Applicants with a CEDIA certification are preferred for this position, although it is not a requirement.
The individual hired for this position will often be asked to work independently in the homes of Good Sounds’s residential clients, so it is necessary that an applicant understands the importance of conducting him or herself in a professional manner, maintaining customer relationships, and providing excellent customer service. In addition, the individual must be driven, self-motivated, and efficiency-minded.
