Spartan Armor Systems at Shot Show in Vegas to Discuss Life-Saving Encapsaloc™ Coating System
TUCSON, Ariz. (PRWEB) January 17, 2018 -- Spartan Armor Systems will join the leaders of the shooting, hunting, and firearms industry at the annual "Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade" (Shot) Show January 23-26, 2018 in Las Vegas when the company’s Managing Member, Todd Meeks, and other company representatives will be at the tradeshow to meet with professionals from the shooting, hunting and outdoor trade industry including commercial buyers and sellers of military, law enforcement and tactical products. Spartan Armor Systems’ mission is to provide first responders with the affordable, reliable body armor protection they deserve. Spartan Armor Systems is one of the premier body armor and tactical gear suppliers in the United States, with high quality armor plates, body armor, reactive targets, and more.
Meeks and his colleagues will be available in-person at the Shot Show to discuss Spartan’s life-saving body armor products protected with the company’s proprietary Encapsaloc™ coating system which prevents the spalling, or bullet fragmentation that commonly occurs with other steel armor plates. Spartan has solved the spall problem with its proprietary Encapsaloc coating that traps bullet fragments to prevent them from harming the wearer. The Encapsaloc composition, what Meeks refers to as “the secret sauce,” allows the bullet to penetrate the coating and then encapsulates the fragments from the projectile impacting the steel.
Spartan Armor Systems is also renowned for its customer service. Commendations are numerous as customers appreciate that Spartan work to answer calls and emails from customers within 24 hours. Lead-time from order to delivery, at no charge, is usually within a week. The company has grown rapidly, and now has 12 full-time employees and multi-million dollar annual sales.
Todd Meeks explained, “We are excited about meeting face-to-face with our community of First Responders who will attend the Shot Show. Spartan Armor Systems is a strong supporter of Police, Sheriff, SWAT, Fire, EMTs and all First Responders who selflessly serve our communities. Law enforcement officers in particular face enhanced threats due to the nature of their work. Every employee of Spartan Armor is proud that our products save lives and together we strive to deliver the best quality and service knowing lives are on the line.”
Spartan’s Body Armor is being tested this month with Chesapeake Testing, one of the four National Institute of Justice (NIJ) Accredited Labs in the world. Meeks said, “We’re looking forward to NIJ certification ideally by the end of first quarter 2018.” The NIJ standard is the only nationally accepted standard for the body armor worn by law enforcement, corrections and criminal justice agencies. Even though NIJ standards are not regulatory in nature, they are nevertheless influential because they articulate best practices.
As a Body Armor Manufacturer, Spartan Armor Systems is registered by the US Department of State as a “Manufacturer and Importer” and keeps their registration current and complies to all requirements under the Arms Export Control Act (AECA) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
