Liberty University and Laporte Announce Exclusive Partnership
LYNCHBURG, Va. (PRWEB) January 20, 2018 -- Interest in Liberty University’s new shooting facility, Liberty Mountain Gun Club, ran high from the moment the project was announced. It has continued to grow since the range has taken shape with the completion of their first state of the art shotgun venues.
Now, Liberty has announced a partnership with Laporte, who has been the sole supplier of the Olympics for decades, to provide their world class traps to the Liberty Mountain Gun Club new Sporting Clays courses after they just equipped the American trap and skeet fields, Olympic trap and skeet fields and 5-stand there.
Representatives from Liberty and Laporte will be at the Shot Show in Las Vegas from January 23-26 to discuss the partnership and answer questions about all their new shooting venues, as Liberty University continues to develop an only one of its kind shooting sports complex ever to be located on an American college campus.
Brad Butler, planning coordinator at Liberty, sees the partnership as a perfect match.
“We’re very excited. To have Laporte be the sole providers of our trap need, we’re getting the best in the World. This partnership is another representation of our firm commitment to excellence to the shooting facility. We are also going to work with them to highlight our facility and to get more people involved in shooting sports.”
The move opens a new avenue for Laporte to continue its mission to get more people interested in shooting sports.

Liberty Mountain Gun Club is a multi-venue shooting sports facility, located on the campus grounds of Liberty University. Phase I shooting venues include: Laporte equipped, Olympic Bunker Trap, International Skeet, American Skeet, American Trap, Shotgun 5 Stand, Shotgun training areas. A 100/200/300 Rifle Range and expansive 50 meter deep, 3 Gun/Pistol ran, as well a championship archery range and 3D archery course. Phase II, coming this year, 2 fully functioning, Neil Chadwick designed, 15-station Sporting Clays courses, (exclusively outfitted with Laporte Traps, golf cart and user card services included), large classic “hunting lodge” structure located behind the shot gun arena venues.
