National Association Of Professional Women Inducts Branka Matevich, CEO Of US Med Sci IN, Into Its VIP Professional Woman Of The Year Circle
(PRWEB) January 23, 2018 -- The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Branka Matevich as a 2017-2018 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in healthcare. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members, a thriving eChapter and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I’m pleased to welcome Branka into this exceptional group of professional women,” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her knowledge and experience in her industry are valuable assets to her company and community.”
Branka Matevich has more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She began her career working in a lab on weekends and school vacations while attending college. “My mom was a medical technologist and was my biggest inspiration to enter into the healthcare arena,” she said.
As the CEO of US Med Sci IN, Ms. Matevich oversees the company’s day-to-day operations, planning and implementing for future growth, and being a steward for the company. “My key responsibilities are to build a company that will grow while maintaining its current base, creating and implementing key strategies, identifying growth markets, and developing SOPS and structure that ensure continued growth,” she said.
Ms. Matevich has honed her skills in leadership and management while working in other corporations in the healthcare industry. Former positions include Strategy and Solutions at Quest; Director Sales and Marketing at Advocate Health Care; Director Business Development (Sales Leader) at ACL Laboratories; and TQS Sales Manager at Boston Biomedica, Inc.
“My skill set includes the ability to see what needs to be done in a company both from a macro and micro level,” she said. “I believe in leading by example and mentoring individuals to grow and succeed. I can find solutions and see things strategically that others may miss. Since my career began as a med tech I have a strong background in quality across an organization.”
Although challenged by the current uncertainty in the healthcare market, Ms. Matevich said she finds it rewarding to build highly effective teams and processes while increasing sales and helping her company prosper. “My future goals are to succeed with the three-to-five year plan I just implemented while continuing to grow the company,” she added.
