Pond Lehocky Announces New Partner, Stephen R. Miller
(PRWEB) January 26, 2018 -- Pond Lehocky is excited to announce the continued growth of our firm with the promotion of Associate Stephen R. Miller to Partner. Mr. Miller is the first attorney to join the firm’s Partnership outside of the four founding members: Samuel H. Pond, Jerry M. Lehocky, David F. Stern and Thomas J. Giordano, Jr.
Stephen R. Miller was born and raised in Bedford County, Pennsylvania. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Washington & Jefferson College, where he played on the President’s football team. After Mr. Miller received his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000, he made the city his home and has lived and practiced there ever since.
Mr. Miller started his career as a defense litigator for employers and insurance companies. Following a stint at a large regional defense firm, he moved to Post & Schell, P.C. where he spent 13 years, the last 7 as a Partner. Through many years of defense practice, Mr. Miller gained extensive knowledge of Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law and how the insurance industry manages claims. It also gave him insight into the immense challenges faced by injured workers, and just how big of a difference a passionate and dedicated advocate can make.
In 2016, Mr. Miller concluded that he wanted to be one of those advocates. He resolved to use his experience, skills and knowledge to help injured workers, and left his long-time position to start fresh as an associate at Pond Lehocky’s Pittsburgh office.
In just 18 months, Mr. Miller made Partner. His experience, drive, and compassion accelerated the path to success. Since joining the firm, Mr. Miller has been named to the 2017 Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® and 2018 Best Lawyers in America® lists.
