They run parallel to the more in-depth educational sessions offered during the Annual Meeting. "We continue to receive favorable responses to this particular educational offering at our annual meetings because they are focused on those new to, or less experienced in, commercial inland marine insurance. Based on these responses we are pleased to include this program as it as part of our overall professional development agenda," said Mr. O'Brien.
All those attending our 'Parallel Track' sessions will also have access to our general sessions, as well as the keynote address.
The Parallel Track subjects to be covered are:
- Introduction to Inland Marine
- The Basics of Builders Risk
- Understanding Contractors Equipment
- Transportation Insurance
IMUA Chairperson, Bill Rosa, commenting on this year's Annual Meeting agenda noted, "For the past two years it has been my honor to serve as the IMUA's Chairperson. I am extremely proud of what we have been able to accomplish in fulfilling our pledge of assisting our membership in furthering their own professional development. And, as I get ready to turn over the leadership of the association, this year's Annual Meeting is no exception to continuing our pledge. By offering something for both experienced inland marine underwriters and those new to our industry, our Education Committee has created an outstanding program covering key issues facing our industry. They have also considered our on-going commitment to reach out to all professional agents and brokers who may or may not be familiar with the many facets of inland marine insurance. We encourage our members and friends in the producer community to take advantage of this exciting educational and networking opportunity."
