CW Landmark Fills Walmart Vacancy with Big Y
DERBY, Conn. (PRWEB) February 01, 2018 -- Last month, CW Landmark of New Haven celebrated the lease signing of Big Y in the former Walmart plaza owned by DLC Management Corporation on New Haven Avenue in Derby. This new 60,000 square foot store will elevate the New England grocer’s presence to 71 locations.
Ralph Lewis of CW Landmark, the sole broker in the deal, merged two longstanding relationships to achieve this lease. In 2014, Lewis facilitated the conversion of Cheshire’s Everybody’s IGA into a Big Y market, commencing a strong and continued professional relationship with the D'Amour family. A couple years later, with this proactive tendency in his pocket and knowledge of DLC’s Derby vacancy, Lewis proposed a repeat performance of his 2014 feat to landlord and tenant. Both parties were amenable and the positive results are now underway.
For Lewis, this lease follows his prominent summer sale of Westbrook’s 290,000 square foot Tanger outlet center to Luxembourg-based Hoche Partners Real Estate for a purchase price of $40 million. Though additional notable commercial sales and leases populate his 2017 résumé, these two characterize the creative strategy that is representative of the CW Landmark brand.
CW Landmark is a related entity to Calcagni Real Estate based out of Cheshire, CT.
