When a serial killer begins stalking and threatening her, Beth sees her brother’s time machine as her only means of escape. Ending up in the year 1860 on a farm in Forest Lake, Minnesota, with a broken-down machine, Beth must now wait for her brother, Russ, to build another machine and begin his search for her.
Inspired by “Time Machine” by H.G. Wells, Kathleen Ballantine Watson wrote “Destination Unknown: A Tale of Time Travel” (published by Archway Publishing), a suspense-filled science fiction tale of romance and time travel to test her story-telling abilities.
An excerpt from “Destination Unknown:”
Beth watched in terror as the hunched over man came tearing into the room! His body halted in mid-motion when he saw her. He began to grin, revealing a distorted mouth full of crooked teeth. The killer smirked with pure satisfaction; finally having his next victim pinned with nowhere to go. It was a turn-on for the madman. Pulling out the switchblade, he tossed it from one hand to another, teasing his prey. Beth let out a scream when he lurched toward her!
Watson hopes readers will fall in love with her cast of characters enough to want to keep re-reading their story.
