Shipley Communications, LLC and Support KC train local nonprofits to create a Grant Matrix to help make quick, mission-based decisions.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (PRWEB) February 06, 2018 -- Support KC along with Shipley Communications, LLC will hold yet another training session this month as part of Mission Ready Monday training series for the local nonprofits. The session will be held on February 12, 2018 for an hour from 4-5 p.m.
The workshop will focus on training nonprofit personnel on creating grant matrix so they can make quick mission-based decisions. To write a grant proposal is time consuming, requires planning and mobilizing individuals and teams. Grant matrix will help nonprofits make use of their time more efficiently in deciding which grant opportunity to follow so they do not waste time and money in writing a proposal that does not serve them well.
Here is a list of workshops for Mission Ready Mondays scheduled to take place starting Jan. 22 through December, 2018:
Jan. 22, 2018- Building a Grants Management Calendar
Feb. 12, 2018- Fit or Fantasy: Reviewing Foundation Guidelines to Identify Good Prospects.
March 5, 2018- Event Planning 101.
April 9, 2018- Make some time- No really make some time.
May 7, 2018- Grant Reporting Do’s and Don’ts.
June 11, 2018- Branding 101.
July 23, 2018- How to give feedback.
August 13, 2018- Sponsors Needed.
September 17, 2018- Government Grants.
October 22, 2018- Once Upon a Time: Telling your story and making it stick.
November 19, 2018- Maintaining Your Social Media
December, 2018- Program Evaluation (Date TBD)
A grant matrix will help nonprofits assess their capability to implement a project; and also the impact and profitability of their programs. It will help in answering questions about their organizations such as, whether they have human resources available to implement a project, their financial sustainability, whether they have proper IT infrastructure to support a project and whether their project is competitive and innovative. It will help them align their grant proposals with their organization’s mission, helping them become more efficient and effective.
“Fund development and communications are critical to nonprofit success, says Debra Box, executive director at Support KC. “Through our partnership with Shipley Communications, we are excited to offer this opportunity for our clients to do a “deeper dive” into their fund development and communications practices and learn new techniques to support them in these efforts,” adds Box.
