Acceleration Partners, the leading global performance partnerships agency, today announced its annual affiliate program benchmark report examining data from more than 11,000 active retailer/affiliate client partnerships between Q4 2016 to Q4 2017. The report evaluates deep insights outlining channel growth, affiliate revenue, commission rates and more for brands, as well top 20 partners in the content, coupon & deal and loyalty categories.

Key findings from the report include:

For retailers -

“Affiliate marketing has seen a rapid growth over the past few years as companies realize the unmatched transparency and ROI offered by a well-managed program and an increasing base of performance based publishers and partners. For this reason, we predict that performance marketing will grow to 40% of all digital marketing spend in the next few years,” said Robert Glazer, Founder & Managing Director, Acceleration Partners. “Acceleration Partners’ quarterly Benchmark Reports provide insights and convey larger affiliate marketing trends that drive performance for the world’s leading brands. These brands are increasingly leveraging their affiliate programs to drive increased engagement, better conversions and higher revenue with better technology and more transparency than ever before.”

For publishers -

  • Content publishers continue to be valuable partners for retailers and in the highest demand. In Q4 2017, this partner segment was up 98.8%
