NYC Tech Startup Is Turning Small Businesses into Storage Points for New Yorkers to Leave Their Things for the Day
NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 13, 2018 -- Bounce, Inc., a technology startup based in NYC is introducing the first release of its product – a platform for booking daily and hourly storage for people to leave their things when they’re out and about in the city. The company has 40+ locations around New York hosted by small businesses that have extra space designated for storing things securely with Bounce. The locations can be accessed on the web app at http://www.usebounce.com. Bounce CEO Cody Candee says a mobile app will be coming soon but the website is mobile-friendly and can be used now.
The mission of Bounce is to enable people to get the most out of their lives without being held down by their things. Going to an event after work, traveling into a new city, or running errands, people are so often burdened by their things – if you could summon them away and back to you when you needed, people would get so much more out of their days.
Co-founder Cody Candee, along with co-founder & CTO Aleksander Rendtslev, started working on Bounce in August after realizing how much demand and interest there was in a solution to this problem. They both have built successful technology products prior to this and met during a Techstars program in NYC in 2016. The team has taken an undisclosed amount of funding from investors.
In the coming months, Bounce will be rolling out pickup & delivery functionality, as well as a mobile app. The company has already stored thousands of items in its beta with 100% happy customers and 5 star reviews.
