GreenTree Inn Hotels Announce Partnership with San Francisco Bay Coffee Co., Bringing Eco-Friendly, Compostable Coffee Pods
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) February 21, 2018 -- GreenTree Hospitality Group, Inc., one of the world’s largest hotel brands globally, with over 2600 hotels worldwide, today announced its partnership with San Francisco Bay Coffee Company, bringing eco-friendly, compostable coffee pods for in-room use in its GreenTree Inn & Suites properties.
In continuing with the GreenTree Inn brand commitment to its sustainability practices within the communities and guests it serves, all GreenTree Inn & Suites hotels will feature the San Francisco Bay Coffee ‘No Waste’ OneCup single-serve pod. Each pod is sealed inside a compostable bag and a recyclable corrugated cardboard box. Both Fog Chaser regular and French Roast decaf will be available for use with the in-room Keurig ® brewing systems. The pods are certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute. The newly introduced coffee pods are one more way that GreenTree Inn continues to focus on growing it green initiatives.
Additionally, GreenTree Inn maintains its environmental positioning by having the following eco-friendly, sustainable products at its properties, including: bath & soap pump dispensers, terry & linen reuse program, LED lighting, compostable breakfast ware, property recycling, recycling trash cans in common areas, water stations to help reduce plastic bottle usage, and the hotels cleaning products.

San Francisco Bay’s ‘No Waste’ OneCup single-serve pods are sealed inside a compostable bag and a recyclable corrugated cardboard box, which means OneCup customers with access to industrial composting services or facilities don’t have to throw any part of the single-serve pod or packaging into the trash. The ‘No Waste’ OneCup is now certified compostable by the Biodegradable Products Institute, the recognized certifying agency for compostability, in industrial compost facilities.
