
Dr. Paul Grundy, Godfather of the Patient Centered Medical Home movement joins HealthTeamWorks
Dr. Grundy has built his career as a trusted ambassador for comprehensive, coordinated patient-centered care and by serving as a voice for a variety of stakeholders to motivate health transformation - and he will continue to be a catalyst for healthcare innovation.

Paul Grundy, MD, MPH FACOEM FACPM, the "godfather" of the Patient Centered Medical Home movement and member of the Institute of Medicine, was hired by HealthTeamWorks as the Global Director of Healthcare Transformation. Paul joins the organization from IBM where he served as Chief Medical Officer for IBM's Healthcare and Life Sciences Industry and developed strategies on transformation initiatives in the healthcare industry.

Dr. Grundy will play an important role in motivating health transformation and will continue to focus on both domestic and international health system reform with HealthTeamWorks' business partners, such as IBM to share in the mission to support the ongoing efforts to build transformational relationships on both a national and a global level.

Dr. Grundy will continue to serve as a director of the ACGME, the body responsible for accrediting graduate medical training programs. Paul is the founding President of the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative; he was fundamental in creating it in early 2006 and is still active in its work. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Department of Family and Preventive Medicine and University of California San Francisco Department of Family and Community Medicine.
