Fun & Easy Colonoscopy Prep Website Launched to Fight Colorectal Cancer
Sacramento, California (PRWEB) March 09, 2018 -- “… And now a word from your colon.” That’s the teaser for a new website that hopes to reduce colorectal cancer, which kills over 50,000 Americans annually. The website is sponsored by California Health Policy Strategies (CalHPS) LLC, as part of a public campaign to combat the “yuck” factor about colonoscopies, an effective preventive procedure that can provide early identification and treatment of this deadly disease.
“We all know too many friends and loved ones have who have died because they didn’t get a colonoscopy when their doctor told them to,” CalHPS President David Panush explained. “For patients the procedure is a breeze, but the prep is a pain.” Panush added that early screenings can find colorectal polyps, allowing the disease to be “nipped in the bud.”
The new website, http://www.fun-and-easy-colonoscopy-prep.com, provides free information, tips, and advice about how to prepare for a colonoscopy. The website’s March launch coincides with National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month and aims to be a one-stop visit for those preparing for a colonoscopy.
The website includes a seven-step process with helpful advice about what to do to prep for a colonoscopy. This includes tips on what to eat, how to drink the prep fluid, and what to bring to the doctor’s office. On the lighter side, there’s a Colon Quiz, a Colon Cartoon Cavalcade, and a Certificate of Colonoscopy Completion that you can download and frame.
“When it comes to your health,” Panush said, “take good care of your colon and it will take good care of you.”
