Key Appointments Focused On Strategic Partnership Success!

Drexel Industries, a leading provider of consumer electronics and mobility devices, today announced it has expanded its Sales team under the direction of JD Abram, Vice President of Sales.

To capitalize fully on the growth opportunity, the following sales team has been recruited:

Vice President of Sales
Greater Toronto Area (GTA)

Responsible for all sales activity for Drexel encompassing wholesale distribution, 3rd Party Logistics, and Drexel’s DAZN Over the Top (OTT) strategic partnership.

Prior to joining Drexel, Mr. Abram had a six year tenure at ZTE Canada, most recently as the Vice President of Terminal Sales. In this role, JD led a team that was responsible for expanding ZTE's presence in Canada from a relatively unknown Chinese manufacturer to now being positioned as the fourth largest OEM in Canada in terms of wireless device unit sales. The company realized this increase in sales primarily as a result of success with wireless operator partnerships, and included distribution relationships in the "unlocked", open market segment.

The experience of working with ZTE's multiple international divisions, bringing a broad portfolio of products to market in Canada including IOT, Smart Phones, Data Hubs and entry level wireless devices has given JD invaluable insights to what is possible within this marketplace.

Prior to joining ZTE, Mr. Abram had a successful 10 year career at Rogers Communications which led to his role as the Director of Sales for Ontario, in charge of a team of sales professionals and customer support staff, overseeing the activities of Rogers's largest corporate customers.

Prior to commencing his professional career, JD earned his Bachelor of Arts at The University of Calgary.

National Account Manager

As a National Account Manager for Drexel Industries, James Dulyea brings 20 years of professional sales experience to his customer accounts. Prior to joining Drexel Industries, James served as National Account Manager for Affinity Electronics of Canada, Cotton Candy Total Rewards, Research In Motion (RIM/Blackberry), and Bell Canada.

Focused on strategic partnerships, Mr. Dulyea is able to successfully ascertain opportunities for his customers spurring growth and superior customer service offerings.

James Dulyea graduated from George Brown College and has participated in other professional development opportunities hosted by the Schulich School of Business.

Todd DeWare – todd@drexel.ca
National Account Manager

Todd DeWare is a sales professional with over 27 years of experience. During this time he has managed the business of many of Canada’s largest retailers. The first 19 years of his career were spent in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry in positions across many functions such as category management, trade marketing, customer development and director of sales. Some of his accomplishments include creating and executing innovative display alternatives for grocery retail; developing internal training programs leading to improved efficiency; implemented processes designed to track and improve execution within a multi-region operation, leading to a turnaround in business within the first year.

Prior to joining Drexel, Mr. DeWare worked in the consumer electronics and wireless telcom industry for 8 years, including 5 years as a director of sales where he lead a team of 13 employees and sales agents. He has been directly responsible for some of the industry’s largest accounts, helping to solidify relationships and grow business. He has introduced training programs for both internal and external partners, leading to increased product knowledge and sales.

The skills Mr. DeWare has learned, and tested, within several industries offer him a unique perspective that will help grow Drexel’s business.

Beverley Battram – bev@drexel.ca
National Account Director

Beverley Battram is responsible for managing strategic Canadian carrier accounts at a national level, maximizing all opportunities for sales within the accounts. Bev is a true veteran in the Canadian telecommunications industry business bringing with her over 25+ years of sales and key account management success. She began her career in the industry working the front lines in carrier stores working her way up to a National Accounts Manager position both on the carrier side (Rogers) and the cellular phone manufacturing side (LG, HTC, ZTE) of the business.

Bev is known in the industry as a well-connected and strongly competitive professional who works collaboratively with her clients to build strong relationships. Bev’s passion for the telecommunications industry is readily recognized and contagious making her a great addition to the Drexel team.

Beverley attended Carleton University in Criminology and Corrections.

Mr. Chang serves as National Account Manager for western Canada. Since 2008 Joseph Chang has served as a Merchandising Manager & Buyer, most recently with Best Buy Canada, and has a wealth of experience related to sales, merchandising and retail distribution.

Mr. Chang drives a multi-million-dollar business – from strategic planning, developing an efficient SKU assortment and drives a marketplace strategy successfully in a fast-pace competitive industry.

Joseph Chang has a Bachelor of Commerce – Marketing degree from the University of British Columbia.

Manager, Retail Administration
London, Ontario

Jantina Enright is Manager, Retail Administration for Drexel Industries. In this role she is responsible for maintaining strong relations with all Retail partners, ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all retail connections and managing the operational transactions between vendors, retailers and consumers.

Jantina brings to Drexel over 10 years of experience as an Operations Manager in the Canadian retail sector, with a focus on operational efficiencies, sales support and human resources. She is a graduate of Fanshawe College, with a degree in Business and Post Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

Janina’s passion for product knowledge, business development and customer service, provides great support to Drexel Industries as they continue their growth and development, acquiring a variety of products to fill the needs of any consumer.
