"Our evaporative cooler uses about 75 percent less electricity than traditional A/C, so you save money and help the Earth at the same time. It really is the perfect air conditioner alternative for dry climates."
CYPRESS, Calif. (PRWEB) March 09, 2018
NewAir Appliances has launched a new evaporative cooler designed for portability and indoor/outdoor use. The NewAir EC111W Portable Evaporative Cooler uses only water and the power of evaporation to cool a room up to 20 degrees in dry conditions.
The model is an environmentally sensitive alternative to standard air conditioning, which uses chemical refrigerants that can damage the ozone layer when not disposed of properly. "Our evaporative cooler uses about 75 percent less electricity than traditional A/C, so you save money and help the Earth at the same time," said Andrew Stephenson, Director of Product Marketing at NewAir Appliances. "It really is the perfect air conditioner alternative for dry climates."
Because evaporative coolers rely on fast evaporation to chill the air, they are recommended for use in reliably arid areas like the Southwest and California. Unlike standard air conditioners, which dehumidify a room, evaporative coolers add humidity to a space. This feature is welcome in very dry places but can be uncomfortable in humid climates.
The EC111W has wheels and is designed to be moved around the house or even to an outdoor patio for on-demand cooling. It also has convenience features like a removable water tank for easy refills and a remote control for setting the thermostat and fan controls.
To educate consumers about evaporative cooling technology, NewAir has published a new article on their blog explaining the differences between evaporative coolers and air conditioners and an infographic outlining the recommended humidity levels for the most efficient cooling.
"We really want people to be educated about their cooling options," said Stephenson.
"Evaporative coolers are a great tool if you live in the right place and know how to use them. We want to give our customers the information they need to make the right decision for their homes."
