Marketplace Simulations Hosts Free Training Workshop for Educators Looking to Enhance Learning
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB) March 13, 2018 -- Marketplace Simulations will hold their bi-annual Train-the-Trainer Workshop on May 21-23, 2018 at the Dancing Bear Lodge and Appalachian Bistro in Townsend, Tennessee. The two-and-a-half-day event will give educators first-hand experience with all the ins and outs of simulation learning.
This fun and engaging workshop will provide instructors with direction on how to conduct their classroom, not as a teacher, but as a business coach. Participants will discover techniques and tips to get the most out of their Marketplace learning experience.
The Train-the-Trainer workshop is designed so that instructors experience Marketplace from the students’ perspective. The workshop with give them a deeper understanding of the benefits and lessons each student faces while playing the game. Other activities and discussions will include:
- A venture capital fair – including business plan preparation and pitch, along with negotiations with potential investors
- Executive briefing experience with professional business coaches
- Guidance on how to get the most out of the web instructor
- One-on-one questions and answers with the Marketplace support team
The event will also feature discussions on the pedagogy behind the software with the author of Marketplace Simulations, Dr. Ernest Cadotte, who will discuss the various pedagogical options for designing a course and take participants through a variety of the best practices. “The Train-the-Trainer Workshop is for new, prospective, and even experienced instructors,” explains Dr. Cadotte. “Educators at any level who want their students to get the most out of this simulation will benefit from this training opportunity.”
