Softcapture Towbarless Vehicle Approved to use on Embraer Aircraft

Tronair, Inc. (“Tronair”), a portfolio company of Golden Gate Capital is proud to announce that the Jetporter Softcapture towbarless vehicle is now approved to use on the Embraer Legacy family of aircraft. Softcapture patented technology immediately separates this product from competitors by eliminating the need for straps and contact with the nose landing gear. All Eagle and Tronair towbarless vehicles have the world’s best turning radius and smoothest deceleration. This model has our latest Zero Degree turning technology coupled with our Zero-emission 48V DC electric drive.

The Softcapture is assembled at our new facility in Swanton, Ohio by the trusted team at Eagle Tugs. In addition to dual drive motors, this model will also come standard with regenerative braking, power steering and rear suspension.

Aaron Kaplan, Director of New Business Development, says; “We thank Embraer for their continued dedication to the Tronair family of products. They were instrumental in the NTO approval for the Softcapture which is currently deployed in regional air carrier operations at multiple airport facilities.”

For almost 20 years, the Tronair group of companies’ product lines have offered the aviation industry’s most advanced towbarless tractors. Designed and manufactured in the United States, the Softcapture is backed by factory direct service and support.
