sportalspace’s media platform, sportalNews, has recently completed its coverage of the 2017-2018 Georgia high school boys and girls basketball season. With a team of reporters and broadcasters, coverage featured 169 game recaps, 10 game broadcasts, and 9 full-length player and coach spotlight articles.
“We’re excited we could impact the Atlanta youth sports community with our sportalNews coverage, reaching a national audience,” said sportalspace CEO Brian Zwerner. “Our team of reporters and broadcasters has a passion for high school sports, and we’re glad we could shine the spotlight on so many deserving student-athletes.”
Over the course of the season, sportalNews video and articles garnered over 500,000 views and impressions on its website, YouTube and other social media platforms. The most viewed was Warner Robins High School’s buzzer beater to win the Class 5A boys championship, which was picked up by ESPN’s SportsCenter.
In addition to media coverage, sportalspace sponsored a Georgia high school basketball bracket challenge that received hundreds of entries from fans on all 16 boys and girls basketball championships. Now in the spring season, sportalNews is focused on baseball and boys and girls soccer and lacrosse.
